Dzimbanhete Arts Centre Urges Government To Support Cultural Tourism
Dzimbanhete Arts Center called upon the government to support their sector as part of enhancing the tourism sector.The Ministry of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality was urged to assist the sector by making available land, funds and cultural exhibition centers to players in the sector.
.Director of Dzimbanhete Arts Centre Chikonzero Chazunguza said the sector remains marginalised in terms of budget allocation and national recognition yet it plays a significant role in preserving and marketing the country’s cultural identity.
Cultural tourism is one of the most undervalued income generating resort in the country while it has the potential to make lots of money if offered adequate support. We need land to set up our centers where we can exhibit the Zimbabwean culture, our norms and beliefs.
