British Ambassador Laing Bids Farewell To Mnangagwa

British Ambassador To Zimbabwe, Catriona Laing on Thursday bid farewell to President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House. Laing will be moving to Nigeria where she will be starting her new appointment as the new British High Commissioner to Nigeria on the 1st of November 2018.

Paid my farewell call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa this afternoon. Reflected on the changes I have seen in my 4 years in Zimbabwe and the important challenges ahead. I am a firm believer in the power of respectful dialogue and in the huge potential of this great country.

Laing will be replaced by Melanie Robinson who will start her new appointment on the 1st of January 2019. At the moment Robinson is the executive director for the United Kingdom at the World Bank Group Washington.
