Ngezi Platinum Stars Still Optimistic Of Winning Their Maiden Castle Lager Premiership Title

Liberty Chakoroma, Ngezi Platinum Stars Football Club captain believes his side is still in with a big chance of winning their first Castle Lager Premiership title. The Mhondoro Ngezi based outfit suffered a detrimental blow to their title quest on Saturday at Rufaro Stadium when they lost  1-0 to Yadah FC  which is on the brink of relegation.

In the Game against Yadah FC, Ngezi Platinum failed to create any meaningful chances to collect three points. Yadah FC managed to get a goal in stoppage time clinching three points and denying Madamburo (Ngezi Platinum) three points. The loss to Yadah, left Ngezi some five points behind log leaders and defending champions FC Platinum with only seven games to go before the season ends.

Ngezi Platinum Stars Captain is not giving up though and is convinced they can cut down FC Platinum’s five points lead.

Said  Chakoroma:

We have to remain united and keep on working hard like what we have been doing all season. This is football and anything can happen in those remaining five matches. That’s the game in which we have to show that we want to win the title by collecting three points at Mandava. We need to get to that game still close enough to FC Platinum; that means we need to win all our games and hope they drop points along the way.
