A Buhera man has been arrested on three charges of murder and one of attempted murder. The man whose name has been withheld and who is from Marindire Village under Chief Makumbe allegedly shot and killed his former worker’s wife and two kids after a dispute over stolen crops. ZRP national police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the matter saying,
Circumstances are that on the 13th of September 2018, the accused person (name withheld) had a misunderstanding with his domestic worker Farai Mandigo over allegations of stolen maize, rapoko and groundnuts.
Charamba added that 3 days later on the 16th another argument occured which resulted in the suspect opening fire at Madigo, who fled to the police to report the matter.
While making the report, he received information that the accused person had shot dead his wife aged 33 and his two children, respectively… This gruesome murder could have been avoided had the employer sought assistance.
