President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration is reported to have hired a private plane to fly former President Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace Mugabe to Singapore for medical checks. According to New Zimbabwe, the couple is reported to be struggling with poor health and has been regularly flying to Singapore for medical attention.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa recently used over $500 000 from private funds to charter a plane for Grace to allow her to travel from Singapore after her mother passed on when she was in Singapore about two weeks back.
The latest decision to charter a private plane did not go down well with some people after the Minister of Finance Mthuli Ncube launched a crowdfunding scheme to raise money to fight the cholera outbreak which has claimed at least 30 lives.
