Ninja Lipsy Denies That “Pfee” Song Is Political

Dancehall musician Linda Lipsy, real name Tendazvaitwa Chitimbe, has dismissed claims that her latest work, “Pfee” is political. Zanu-PF popularised the word “Pfee” when it incorporated it into a political slogan “ED Pfee” ahead of the 2018 harmonised elections. Speaking to NewsDay, Lipsy said,

This song has many meanings. It’s more of social issues than political issues like many have described it. It’s all for the listener to decode it in their own preferred manner, but it’s not political. I talk about a driver who has to be cautious on the road to avoid accidents. Others also describe the song in a sexual manner but, well, it is for the listeners to give meaning to the song.

  1. Please let people do what they want. Let there be a freedom of speech. Whatever the musician meant it doesn’t matter. Let’s focus on building Zimbabwe. People can not be stopped saying things as long as its not a crime, killing, corruption etc. He is not putting anyone in danger. Live the musicians alone. ED don’t listen to anything that will is trying to put you down. Please build our Zimbabwe.
