MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has commented on President Mnangagwa’s new cabinet appointments saying an illegitimate president cannot appoint a legitimate cabinet.
Without mentioning names, Chamisa also took a shot at Mnangagwa’s appointment of Olympic gold medal winner Kirsty Coventry and Mthuli Ncube which has been hailed as a good move by a section of Zimbabweans. In a tweet Chamisa said:
An ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT can’t possibly appoint a legitimate cabinet. Two fresh apples can not redeem a rotten basket! The REAL DEAL is COMING !!!!

Reactions To President Mnangagwa’s Post Election Cabinet
We would like to watch with enthuse as the politics of opposition become dilute by overemphasis. The same measure of empty promises can be leveled on the opposition as much as on the ruling party to an extent that support will dwindle with time. The ruling party is admitting in party that they are illegitimate but they are ruling thats why they need opposition support for the sake of the country. Yes, its possible to consider working together. This is Zimbabwe, its not UK or US. We can do as we want and working together is Zimbabwean, not working together is not Zimbabwean.
This is Zimbabwe not UK or Us idzi ipfungwa dzakavurika dzakajeka tiri mazimbabweans tose chinotadzisa kuti tishande pamwe chii kwete zviri kutaurwa Nana Mutambara hudofo vanoti regai ZANU pf itadze kutungamirira yoga imi vanotambura tisu vanovoter ivo vachidya vachiguta kana kaMDC allaence vakaenda kuma elections vaine maZimbabweans pamwoyo gavabatane vadzimure kutambura kuri munomu Zimbabwe
