We Don't Interfere In Africa's Internal Affairs, Our Aid Has No Strings To It: China's Xi

China’s President Xi Jinping has said that his country’s aid to African countries did not come with any political strings attached to it. Xi said that China does not seek to impose its will at African countries and said that China was providing funds to allow African countries to build infrastructure. Speaking at a business forum before the start of a triennial  Forum on China Africa Co-operation (Focac) summit, Xi said,

China does not interfere in Africa’s internal affairs and does not impose its own will on Africa. What we value is the sharing of development experience and the support we can offer to Africa’s national rejuvenation and prosperity.

China’s cooperation with Africa is clearly targeted at the major bottlenecks to development. Resources for our cooperation are not to be spent on any vanity projects but in places where they count the most.

All African countries with the exception of eSwatini (Swaziland) are represented at the forum.
