Chamisa Will Work With Mnangagwa Under The Guise Of Putting Zimbabwe First: Political Analyst

Speaking to Daily News, political analyst Maxwell Saungweme said MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa will work with Emmerson Mnangagwa under the guise of putting the country first.

Saungweme said it will be difficult politically for Chamisa not to work with Mnangagwa. Said Saungweme:

I see Chamisa working with Mnangagwa soon under the guise of putting the country first. Otherwise politically it will be difficult for him to refuse to work with Mnangagwa given that he has MPs and local councils the alliance won. Whether he likes or not his party is definitely part of government. I think Mnangagwa is doing well in embracing him so that a win-win alternative is found instead of a winner take all. Chamisa has over two million votes and is difficult to ignore. But Mnangagwa is also the President and difficult to ignore for Chamisa.

Another political analyst Rashweat Mukundu said working together may not resolve the issues surrounding the presidential election results. He said it is better for Zanu-PF and MDC to simply agree on a politics of respect and rule of law.

  1. Zimbabweans just need the bread and butter issues saka ED should choose who ever to work with kana achishandika naye kuti tigadzirise economy yenyika

  2. At the end of the day we will still have a lot of dramas unfolding, the people in Zimbabwe are just full of hatred and nothing else is in their vicinity except that. It is hard for ED to decide on who to put any mile closer after all the hatred people have shown- if people wanted GNU they should have went in streets to say that, but they propagated insults instead. And some even extended to burn up the Capital.

  3. Zimbabwe first, what unites us is stronger than what divides us. Both ED and Chamisa should bury politics, the election period is over. ED has already stretched his hand to Chamisa, its now up to Chamisa to embrace the opportunity to work for the country.

  4. Ed stretched his hand really? Let’s hope he did and it’s not just social media thieries and zanu pf hogwash in the press and if he did wat is it that he ED wants CHAMISA to do in the new dispensation government coz looking at all election stats these two GIANTS are draw draw 6 Lo 9 irespective of the concourt ruling, so they need to work together like both winners.

  5. Chamisa is now in a corner, the well-balanced Motlanthe Report is now out. Although it deals with the poor response of police and army leading to the killing of 6 people, it is even more damning on the provocative statements of Biti and Chamisa who both lied to the Commission in the face of overwhelming evidence of their use of the povo in an extremely provocative manner On top of which, we aware that the MDC sponsors in the USA prefer the much more competent Biti. If he does not make a move, his political career will take a dive.

  6. They claim to have won the elections they campaigned assuring the general citizenry a better Zimbabwe now what has happened? Why need and extra hand if they (Zanu pf) has the capacity to fully revive the economy of Zim which is seemingly thrashing in the dust bin?? They can’t even acknowledge of their own evil deeds they run amock and spread propaganda blaming civil society groups and opposition parties.

Our current gvt is so excellent in unleashing unrelenting havoc to it’s own people…we don’t even know whom to run to in times like these. Our nation’s democracy seems to be a ghost ideology which only favours the gvt and suppresses the people.

  7. This chivende gvt is a club of lost ppl with zero ideas regarding running a country their ideology are none profound and lacks direction of whatsoever gvt should go rest
