Mnangagwa Travels To China For Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to travel to China on Friday for the 7th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation  (FOCAC) summit which starts on Saturday.

Addressing a media briefing at the Chinese embassy in Harare today, the charge d’affaires Mr Zhao Baogang said the summit will accord the heads of state an opportunity to review progress made between China and the African continent in the last three years. He revealed President Mnangagwa is one of the few African leaders that will hold bilateral talks with President Jinping and the two leaders are expected to discuss a number of projects that are being undertaken by the Chinese and potentially plan some new ones. The forum will bring together 53 African countries which have diplomatic relations with China.
