President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that Nelson Chamisa Chamisa’s presidential challenge should not be heard by the Constitutional Court because Chamisa had attacked the judiciary previously. In his notice of opposition to Chamisa’s presidential challenge, Mnangagwa said
The next objection is that the applicant has scandalised the court (from) which he purports to seek relief and assistance. He has deliberately and consistently said that the court is a captive of the executive and an extension of my party. Throughout his campaign, applicant has said that he will not approach the courts of the Republic of Zimbabwe…The applicant, having scandalised the court, cannot be heard until he purges his scandal. He is a legal practitioner. He took oath to uphold and obey the Constitution and laws of Zimbabwe. He remains an officer of the court, the third pillar of the State which he has decided to scandalise. He must purge his scandalous contempt. If he declines to do so, the inquiry required by section 93 (3) of the Constitution must be determined without him being heard any further in these proceeding.

Mr President when evil prevails against the people should we not speak. We as a nation did very bad to the children of the whites even killing some. Today without apology you Mr president goes to Davos and say please we need you to help build our economy, yet you scandalised their kithe and kin. Did they say do not approach us? Above all we are approaching the law and not individuals. The individuals then must not us their position to down play us knowing we will appraoch the same when grieved. Thats why they are called JUSTICE. Their title is a Godly title because only God is just. so if they assume this title they should be seen to be so. Even if you scandalise God and later run to him for refuge he will accept you and do what is JUST.
