Lumumba claimed that Biti was briefing the BBC at Miekels Hotel that Zanu-PF rigged the election. Writing on micro-blogging website, Lumumba said Biti was shaking. Said Lumumba:

I am at the Miekels 12th Floor and Tendai Biti is selling a gory story to the BBC that Zanu PF rigged, that’s why they won. I guess Zanu PF has won the election like I told you. He literally looks like he wants to cry. I feel for him. Very shameless. He is shaking.
