Voting had to be temporarily suspended in Norton at Donnington Farm polling station after a fire broke out. The fire which started just before midday disrupted the voting process as Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) officials and police officers battled to douse the fire. The Zec officials and the police officer were assisted by farm workers. Details on what caused the fire were yet to be established at the time of publishing.
Incumbent legislator Temba Mliswa (Independent ) and special adviser to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Christopher Mutsvangwa are engaged in a bruising battle for the House of Assembly seat.
