MDC-T National Chairperson Morgen Komichi has responded to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) reporting MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) for the press conference he held at Mekiels Hotel yesterday.
Speaking to South African radio station 702, Komichi said Chamisa did not hold a rally but a closed conference just as Mnangagwa made his recording. Mnangagwa’s video was posted on his Facebook page and circulated on social media and was aired on State owned Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC).Said Komichi:
Chamisa was not campaigning. He didn’t hold a rally. It was an indoor closed conference at a hotel just as Mnangagwa did his recordings of his last message at a secluded area. We have said it before, ZEC is not an independent organisation. It is an extension of Zanu PF. It is an extension of the regime and it is being used by the CIO and the people that are against Nelson Chamisa.
