Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) radio and television personalities Eric Knight and Ezra Tshisa Sibanda issued a joint statement endorsing Zanu-PF candidate Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The two who joined the opposition said Robert Mugabe’s former deputy is preaching and practising what they fought for. The two who have been based in the diaspora for over a decade urged fellow Zimbabweans not to dwell in the past but be ready to serve Zimbabwe under Mnangagwa’s Zanu-PF. Part of Sibanda and Knight’s statement reads:
Withstanding the foregoing, we would strongly appeal to fellow professionals in the media, private sector, medical professionals and all skilled citizens scattered across the world, it is time to consider working for your country . Do not dwell too much on the past. Your memory takes you backwards, your vision takes you forward. We will always be available to serve our country in an capacity. Under ED, it is indeed a new dispensation.
