Security Apparatus, Key State Institutions Have Assured Us Of Smooth Transfer Of Power: Chamisa’s MDC-T

The Nelson Chamisa led MDC Alliance coalition has said that its legal team has been assured by key state institutions that there will be a smooth transfer of power if he wins the July 30, harmonised elections. Chamisa’s legal adviser, Advocate Thabani Mpofu said yesterday,

A transitional framework, one which cannot fail, has also been put in place. To that end, I wish to assure you, on my name and honour, that I and our legal team are going to superintend over the imminent smooth transfer of power to the incoming president. The necessary assurances from the security apparatus are to hand as they exist as a matter of law. Power will be relinquished. Power will be taken, even though mountains will be moved, albeit, this shall be a peaceful and tranquil process.

However, Zanu-PF’s secretary for legal affairs Munyaradzi Paul Managwana dismissed the claims saying,

Dreams don’t reflect reality. He is entitled to his dreams. Zanu PF is winning hands down, so there is no talk about the transfer of power. Transferring from who to who?

  1. Itz not wisdom to entertain illusions;we only need to wait & see who will win monday, but likelihood of the situation is that it will b an uphill battle for Chamisa to win the presidency;this country is too large, and his supporters are mainly in urban areas where he addresses bumper crowds, like his predecessor who often said during such this eleventh hour”RWENDO RUNO BABA VA CHATUNGA VANOTODZOKERA KWA ZVIMBA CHETE”, but ending up always in surprises & disbelief, always crying elections rigged. Now Chamisa had some who fooled him that he is more popular than Tsvangirai, but I hope monday will wake him up

  2. Some people will be shocked, 73% win is not a joke, its a survey on the ground regai tinyarare hedu because pasi richatinhira Garwe raenda nenyika kuti pfeeeeee mumvura.
