Mnangagwa passed through Matapi flats in Mbare to witness the damage on his way to Robert Mugabe International Airport where he departed for the BRICS Summit in South Africa. Writing on Twitter Mnangagwa said:

Today I was in Mbare to meet and listen to residents who tragically lost their homes to fire. I assured them that we will rebuild their flats and return them to their homes. As the new Zimbabwe rises, we will leave nobody behind.

  1. Thank you Mr President for your true luv n care for the citizens. God wil surely reward u with Presidency come monday.

  2. Seriously, those flats in Mbare are a social ill, they were never built to house families as is the current state (the environment is not conducive for raising a family), this means they are no longer relevant, knock them down and build workshops and shades for the SME’s instead.
