MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has refused to budge on the issue of testing the ballot papers which will be used for the July 30 elections. Chamisa said that Zec officials had admitted that President Emmerson Mnangagwa had instructed them not to compromise on the issue of ballot papers. Speaking at a rally in Makoni Central on Tuesday, Chamisa said,
Today, I was in a meeting and I sent our leaders our chairman Morgen Komichi, secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora and chief election agent Jameson Timba. We told them that we are not moving on our terms over the ballot papers. Zec responded by saying that Mnangagwa told them not to compromise over the matter. Zec told us that they are responding by sending ballot papers to their stations…Mnangagwa told us that we should go to court. We are not fools. You want to trap us and people are the ultimate courts of this country.

I don’t think ZEC can be taking any instruction from any of the contesting parties because it is an independent body. Dzimwe nharo ndedzemunhu avekutya the outcome yema results which might not be favourable because ED has done enough kupinda muoffice
ED is not that foolish zvekusvika pakudaro
