MDC Alliance Will Not Boycott Elections, Winners Don’t Quit: Chamisa

MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has announced that they will not boycott elections as has been reported by State owned media.

He said that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) is biased toward Zanu-PF that is why Emmerson Mnangagwa is not complaining. Addressing journalists at Morgan Tsvangirai House in Harare today, Chamisa said they have put anti-rigging mechanisms. He accused Zanu-PF of spreading lies that MDC Alliance will boycott the election. Said Chamisa:

Contrary to the perception that we are going to boycott the election, we can’t boycott our victory, we can’t boycott our mandate, we can’t boycott the clear mandate that we have been given by the people of Zimbabwe. Winners don’t quit. Winner don’t boycott. We are the winners in this election. If anything we have also realised it’s a machination by Zanu-PF to try and get us into a position of despondency and start causing unrest so that the election is avoided.
