In an interview with NewZimbabwe.com, suspended Prosecutor General Ray Goba said Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi initiated his suspension.
Goba denied reports that the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) was the complainant telling NewZimbabwe.com to contact Ziyambi to confirm the reasons behind his suspension. Said Goba:
My comment is that I do not have a comment. The thing is that these are constitutional matters. So, the rightfulness or otherwise the legitimacy is not for me to decide upon. I cannot pass judgement in a matter that concerns me. Ziyambi would confirm because he is the one who initiated it. He is the one who started it; he is the complainant. The complainant is himself. It is not the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) as is being said.
