Mudzidzi Wimbo Has Died

Leader of the Johane Masowe eChishanu Vadzidzi VaJeso apostolic sect, Mudzidzi Wimbo, real name Aaron Mhukuta Gomo has died. Mudzidzi Wimbo who was 96, died at Arundel Hospital this morning and according to his deputy, one Steblone, he will be buried tomorrow. He is survived by two wives and 18 children.

Mudzidzi Wimbo is reported to have made a prophecy in 1957 that independent Zimbabwe would be led by a man with the name of an angel, Gabriel, which apparently, came to pass when former president Robert Gabriel Mugabe became Zimbabwe’s leader in 1980.
