Six Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) activists arrested on Friday following their demonstration against alleged nepotism by TM Pick n Pay were yesterday released on $100 bail each.
The activists spent a night at Bulawayo Central Police station. Since last Thursday the acctivists had been demonstrating outside a Pick n Pay supermarket in the city centre protesting and claimed people from outside Bulawayo were being bussed in every month to take up jobs at the supermarket. The shop was closed on Thursday afternoon following running battles with the police.
