Change Will Be Through The Ballot Box, And Not The Gun: Mnangagwa

In a statement President Mnangagwa said any changes to the current administration should come through the ballot box, not violence and bloodshed.

This comes after a hand grenade was thrown at White City Stadium last Saturday after Mnangagwa had just finished addressing Zanu-PF supporters. Mnangagwa assumed power after a military intervention named Operation Restore Legacy that resulted in Robert Mugabe resigning.

Said Mnangagwa:

We will not allow the use of violence to mould our thoughts, ideology or politics. The only instrument for change will be through the ballot box, and not the gun, the explosives or other tools of violence and bloodshed. Those who tried to hurt me are not my enemies, they are the enemies of our new Zimbabwe which we are striving together to reach. The forces of peace, progress and democracy cannot be stopped.

  5. So what do we want Zimbabwe, the ball is our hands, the democratic platiform has been set let s uphold it for our future generations. lets vote for the future of our sons and daughters, i did not know tingawana mumwe mutungamiriri ane people at heart from zanupf. im beginning to see thats why they wanted to eliminate ED,he was an opposition to those G40 cabals

  6. Those who have eyes to see and ears to gear will see there is a big difference between Mugabe and ED . That’s what I have always said you do not need to be a prophet to see who is the Chosen ONE.ED is maunganidze a true Zimbabwean leader with people at heart . He suffers in silence but he is resolute he remains calm even when the storms are raging . I’ve heard words at party level in the Mini Demoratic Confusion (MDC) like CHAMISA is the Leader ge cannot take orders from anybody iyavozve ndicho Chimugabe ichocho. Now they have seen the ballot paper being printed in Zimbabwe what are they going to say ? I bet they are going to try googling how to rig ZvimaKoronyera. ED will lead well because he listens and corrects things. In his words let the opposition bark so I know where to fix .Zimbabweans let’s vote for ED tisiane nevenhema who lie to say 3MONTHS Maproblens ear disappear

    1. How l wish e gvt cud open rehabilitation centres fo ppl like u n chamisa hu wil suffer frm post election traumatic disorder

  7. truly saying ED you have a point it is clear that the change should come through a ball point and the victory is obvious yours.

  8. that is the reason why GOD sent you to rescue us ED you are worth to peacefully take us to cannan

  9. and the enemies where are you if the man is clear and frank enough to say what is supposed and shall be done i think this is very profound.

  10. zimbabwe a peaceful country indeed lets embrace on it as according to his sentiments well done Ed for clarifying.

  11. lets respect the issue of non violence and try to be peaceful as much as we can..most countries adore our peacefulness as zimbabweans i think we should maintain that status we gain nothing for hurting others after all

  12. Its very possible basing on the current political mood here except the white city issue of the so called enemies

  13. thats why as youth we are embracing the new dispensation we are proud of you vaMnangagwa…i wish everyone could view you the way i do and you absolutely have my vote mr President

  14. I think people only want to test the depth of the so called new dispensation to see if it can reward us or grow in the next 5yrs;if it fails ED will b fired without mercy come next elections

  15. Zimbabwe is the best counrty and deserves all the best!
ED is the best candidate. Do you agree with me?
