Mnangagwa Gives Update On Kembo Mohadi, Oppah Muchinguri

Speaking at a press conference at State House in Tanzania after holding talks with host President Dr John Magufuli, President Mnangagwa said Vice President Kembo Mohadi and Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri were taken to South Africa for treatment following an explosion on Saturday.

Mnangagwa said Mohadi was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to South Africa, where he is now recovering. He added that Muchinguri-Kashiri was also taken to South Africa where she was operated on, as shrapnel reportedly pierced her chest. She is now understood to be recovering as well.
