Zanu-PF Holds Prayer Meeting After Mnangagwa Rally Explosion

Zanu-PF Matabeleland South Province yesterday held a prayer meeting for President Mnangagwa and victims of the bombing incident that happened just as the President was leaving the VVIP podium after addressing a rally.

Speaking at the meeting, Zanu-PF Matabeleland South provincial chairman Rabelani Choeni condemned the incident and said they are praying for peace to prevail during the election period. Said Choeni:

Following the attempt on the President’s life, we have decided as Matabeleland South to hold a prayer meeting to call on God to watch over him. We are also praying for peace and unity to prevail during the election period. We also pray for the speedy recovery of comrades that were injured in the explosion and families that have lost their relatives.
