Minister of Agriculture, Lands and Resettlement, Air Chief Marshal (retired) Perrance Shiri has revealed that he promised the people of Rushinga district that he would donate his pension to them. Shiri pledged his pension on condition that the district voted for Zanu-PF. Addressing a rally at Nhakiwa business centre in Uzumba on Sunday, Shiri said,
I told them (Rushinga residents) that I have set aside my pension so that I can buy 30 cattle to be distributed across the province if they get more voters than this area [Uzumba]. Another party member and businessman in Mashonaland Central [Kennedy] Musanhi also pledged 30 cattle supporting me.
Zanu PF is a party of God, formed by God and it is our desire to take the people to Canaan. Despite the circumstances we are facing for example drug shortages in our health facilities, we are going to overcome all that. We have a leader who was baptised by fire. He was embarrassed in public and you know that, but he is the leader.

He has nothing to do with pensions rather he is keen to see the people living good life. His pension will be availed to them as soon as the Rushinga people vote Zanupf into power. This is not a voting buying but a definate promise which is guaranteed to them and as suvh those people have exclusive right to clain as such.
This shows that Shiri is happy and will be still happy to see the people of Zimbabwe. He has now pledges his pension as a way of upgrading the lives of the people in Rushinga. Such calibre is very to be found. No one in his pesonal capacity can pledge his or her private property but he did it which is a true epitomy of sympathy and compassion.
