Chamisa Responds To Charamba's Claim He Wrote Letter To Mnangagwa Asking For Government Of National Unity

MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has ruled out a Government of National Unity (GNU) with his Zanu-PF counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa.

He also responded to Mnangagwa’s spokesperson George Charamba’s claim that he wrote a letter to the President asking to be part of a GNU. Chamisa said he wrote a letter to Mnangagwa in a bid to find common ground with the Zanu-PF leader ahead of the harmonized elections. Said Chamisa:

He is failing to provide leadership, I said as a leader of the most popular party in the country come let us meet out of courtesy, I would also love to meet Mugabe also he is a former leader,  elders of the nation must be respected since I am young leader of this country? After writing him a letter out of courtesy to show leadership and magnanimity and maturity, He is not mature what does he do, he took it with George Charamba and published it in the Herald saying Chamisa has wrote to us perhaps he wants a unity government, me uniting with you, what would I have lacked?
