I Was Forced To Stand As An Independent After MDC-T Failed Me: Bulawayo Mayor

Bulawayo Mayor Councillor Martin Moyo has said that he resorted to contest as an independent candidate after the MDC-T led by Nelson Chamisa reportedly failed him. Moyo accused the MDC-T of imposing a preferred target at his expense. Said Moyo,

There were certain party processes that were not followed and I assumed they would be concluded favourably but that was not the case. There was a lot of hide and seek that took place within the party and things were not done in a clear manner…When this confusion came about I could not secure signatures to take my papers to the Nomination Court under the MDC-T banner so I ended up standing as an independent candidate. They had signed papers for their preferred candidate behind my back so I could not stand as the candidate under the same party that had shown me I was not wanted.

  1. Its not a question of what you know, its who you know. Its all about close friends,i bet you Welshman has a hidden hand in this. Corruption is at large and those connected will loot all the council resources. The Alliance is a grouping of friends, those very loyal to Chamisa Biti and Welshman , so that if they get in power, they will loot without any hinderance from anyone. You can see now its a registered party without consulting their members. The party is them Chamisa,Biti and Welshman the followers are meant just to rubber stamp what they decide.

  2. You have your right to stand as an independent …. just let us vote for our President of Choice …. Chamisa!
