MDC-T Accused Of Grabbing Majority Of Seats In MDC Alliance

Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume is reported to have accused the Nelson Chamisa led MDC-T of bullying other smaller parties and grabbing the majority of seats in the colaition MDC Alliance. MDC Alliance spokesperson and leader of the smaller MDC party, Professor Welshman Ncube acknowledged that there were problems but insisted that all selected candidates will fill their nomination papers. Speaking to New Zimbabwe, Ncube said,

Eventually, candidates will be selected. Yes, we are going into the nomination court and there will be a lot of disgruntlement and disappointment among candidates. With or without disagreements, we are still going to file our papers for the candidates at all levels

…I am not worried about the issue of double candidate. Even if it happens in one or two constituencies, there will be a solution. As principals met today (Wednesday) to try and resolve these issues, we managed to agree in some cases and in some, we did not, but that is life and there will be candidates for selection Thursday (today)
