Former First Lady Mrs Grace Mugabe’s son, Russel Goreraza, faces eviction from a city flat over rent arrears amounting to $65 801. Goreraza did not pay rent to the Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council Pension Fund during the last three years.
Since 2015, Goreraza has been living at Number 4A Clarence Drive, Nikolas Point, Flat 3 Newlands, Harare. According to papers filed at the High Court, Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council Pension Fund is seeking Goreraza’s eviction from the property and payment of outstanding rent. Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council Fund is also seeking cancellation of the lease agreement.
In terms of clause 2.1 of the lease agreement, Goreraza pledged to pay rent on a quarterly basis at the rate of $6 600. In addition to the rent, Goreraza had an obligation to pay $180 monthly for levies. Goreraza is yet to respond to the claim.
