Former Kwekwe Polytechnic Principal Cephas Mbudzi Dies

Educationist and former principal at Kwekwe Polytechnic College, Cephas Mbudzi has died. He was 66. Mbudzi died over the weekend after succumbing to diabetes and kidney complications.   Mbudzi retired as the principal at Kwekwe Polytechnic last year after 45 years of service.  Kwekwe Polytechnic acting principal Callisto Muzongondi said,

We surely have lost a very polished academic and firm believer in the TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) system. We join Mrs Mbudzi, the family and the nation at large in mourning this selfless leader who gave his all in the transformation and development of polytechnic education in Zimbabwe…We will never forget his work which remains etched in our minds and hearts forever. It is a great loss both to myself, the institution and the nation at large.
