Mnangagwa Promises To Deal With Chiyangwa After Zanu-PF Women's League Demands His Arrest
Speaking during a Zanu-PF Women’s League meeting last Thursday, President Emmerson Mnangagwa promised Phillip Chiyangwa will be prosecuted if he corruptly acquired land.
Mnangagwa was responding to a report presented by Zanu-PF Women’s League Harare provincial chairperson Ratidzo Mukarati who accused Chiyangwa of acquiring land in Harare South. Mukarati said Chiyangwa is demanding more money from Zanu-PF supporters who bought those housing stands as cooperatives. She said those who cannot afford are being chased away with their houses and properties being destroyed. Said Mnangagwa:
This report will be made public and I can assure you even those that you have mentioned (Chiyangwa) here, if he is found to have corruptly acquired (land) he will be prosecuted.
