Mashonaland Turf Club Taken To High Court Over Lotto Licence

The President’s Fund has taken Mashonaland Turf Club (MTC) to the High Court over the Lotto Licence. The President’s Fund is challenging a decision by an arbitrator allowing MTC to sue because the termination of the licence was unlawful. As appears from the decision, the proceedings were irregularly handled in that the learned arbitrator reversed the onus of proving the legality of the agreement onto the applicant instead of the first respondent as required by law.
