Potraz Collects Over $120 Million

In an interview with The Herald, Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) director-general Gift Machengete said they have collected over $120 million since the introduction of the multi-currency system in 2009 under the Universal Services Fund (USF).

Said Machengete:

Collections during the multi-currency era, from 2009 to 2017, were about $120 million. In addition, USF generated $10,6 million as interest from investments. Thus total resources generated from 2009 to December 2017 were about $130,6 million.

Machengete dismissed claims that POTRAZ was abusing USF funds.
