First Lady Takes Over Marry Chiwenga's Charity Project Amid Reports Of Competition

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has taken over the running of Mushamukadzi Foundation, an organisation started by Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga’s wife, Marry. This was reportedly done to prevent the first lady from being outshined. Sources who spoke to NewsDay said,

… Just imagine, can someone just handover her charity projects that have been in place for six years, just like that. This is a very sensitive issue and as a sign of respect to the First Family and avoid unnecessary competition, Marry had no choice, but to handover the foundation to the First Lady’s Angel of Hope Foundation.

However, Marry dismissed the claims in her handover speech saying:

I don’t know where you are getting such information and the motive of the people peddling such malicious rumours. As I said at the dinner yesterday, (Saturday), we have all agreed as a team that the First Lady inherit the work we have taken all the six years.
