Former Minister of State for Mashonaland West Webster Shamu, who was fired last week has been revealed to have been plotting against President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Reasons for Shamu’s dismissal were not revealed when he was fired. However, The Standard reports that Shamu was fired after a recording in which he was alleged to be plotting against President Mnangangawa leaked. Shamu is alleged to have been plotting another Bhora Musango to ensure that Mnangagwa loses the forthcoming 2018 elections. Sources who spoke to The Standard said,

Shamu did not like Mnangagwa and was always telling people he thought were his friends that ED would lose the coming elections because he is incompetent and not a national leader. This news reached ED in audio form.
