Zimbabweans on Twitter have started a #MukupeMustFall campaign after the deputy finance minister insulted MDC Alliance partner Tendai Biti during a debate on Star FM on Thursday afternoon. Terrence Mukupe alleged that Biti is taking anti-retroviral treatment which did not go down well with some section of the public. Below are some of the tweets using the hashtag:
According to UNAIDS : There were approximately 36.7 million people worldwide living with HIV/AIDS at the end of 2016. Of these, 2.1 million were children (<15 years old). Terence Mukupe's utterances are stigmatising everyone living with HIV/AIDS!#MukupeMustFall

Mukupe's jibe about ARV was stupid and ignorant in this day and age.
MDC supporters who use Mental illness to degrade their opponents are also stupid and ignorant.
As well as MDC opponents who use deragatory sexist names on opponents..
Lets learn tolerance#MukupeMustFall

Why do we still have Ministers like Terrence Mukupe .Who insult a co-worker over money, Who insult the Constitution by saying reckless statements, Who insult the progress done on fighting Stigma and discrimination on HIV&Aids. 🤔 #MukupeMustFall
