Mugabe Fails To Pay Rent For Alpha Omega Dairy, Faces Eviction

Former President Robert Mugabe’s company Alpha Omega Dairy (Private) Limited faces eviction from its Harare offices located at Number 30 Simon Mazorodze Street, Southerton, over failure to pay rent. The company has failed to settle rent and operating costs arrears which amount to $29 134,22.

The owners of the offices, Levgal Investments (Private) Limited have approached the High Court claiming the arrears plus interest. They are also seeking the cancellation of the lease agreement and the eviction of Alpha Omega from the property. Levgal is also seeking an order for costs against the dairy company.

Levgal says it signed a lease agreement with Mugabe’s company on 11 October 2012. Alpha Omega agreed to pay $442 per month in rentals. The company also agreed to pay for operating costs.
