Mnangagwa Invites 64 Election Observers

In an interview with ZBC News, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Sibusiso Moyo said Zimbabwe has invited 64 organisations, countries and individuals to observe the forthcoming harmonised elections.

Moyo said they have covered the whole world in terms of invitations. Said Moyo:

We have invited 64 organisations, countries and individuals to observe this election. Far from the SADC region and the AU, we have gone as far as inviting even those from the Americas and Europe. We have covered the whole world in terms of our invitations.

He also revealed that some teams are already in Zimbabwe doing pre-observation preliminaries with SADC and African Union (AU) teams having visited the country earlier. The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) pre-observation team arrived in Harare on Tuesday evening and is expected to meet Moyo on Wednesday morning.
