Chinotimba Taken To Court For Failing To Pay $43K Electricity Bill

Buhera South legislator and Zanu-PF politician Joseph Chinotimba has been taken to the High Court for failing to pay his electricity bill amounting to $43 716. Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of ZESA Holdings filed a lawsuit at the High Court against Chinotimba for electricity supplied to his farm in Concession.

ZETDC wants $43 716 plus interest, to be calculated from the date of issuance of the summons to the date of payment in full. ZETDC said they entered into an agreement with Chinotimba for the supply of electricity at his farm on account number 2286246.
