Addressing supporters at Maboleni business centre in Vungu, Lower Gwelo, MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa said the 2018 elections are a chance for the people to be independent from Zanu-PF chefs.
He said the electorate should get back its independence from the few blacks that have been benefiting from Zimbabwe’s resources. Said Chamisa:
In 2018, we are going to the elections to get back our independence from the few blacks, who have been benefiting from the country’s resources for the past 38 years. We might have got our flag (in 1980), but we still have leaders who are chefs, while the people they lead are servants. The people should be the chefs and the leaders servants of the people.

That’s a very interesting thought independence from Zanu PF THAT got us independence from the white man then we will be looking to get our independence from who else
I think the people will also hope to get independence from Chamisa lies, propagated nationwide to the tune of bullet trains, village international airports, free primary & secondary education etc financed from the same empty national coffers which are currently struggling to pay enough national hospitals’ supplies bill, failing to pay enough for nurses, teachers& doctors.Clearly we would want to know how would we move out fr there first before we start to entertain such illusory goals such as that of bullet trains. The so called global capital will definitely come here for profits-which actually adds to the national expense;plus is not guaranteed-the gullible s are susceptible to chamisa lie nation wide
