Mujuru Says She Still Wants To Form An Opposition Alliance, Targeting 50 000 Polling Agents

The Joice Mujuru led People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) has said that it is still pushing for the formation of a coalition of opposition parties to take on Zanu-PF in the upcoming 2018 harmonised elections. The alliance has also said that it will begin training of polling agents in June, and is aiming for at least 50 000.

In a statement, PRC publicity official Fortune Mlalazi said,

We reiterate our openness for further negotiations with all other progressive democrats towards strengthening our broader coalition to dismantle the Zanu PF regime and return Zimbabwe to the family of nations…PRC will be commencing the training of 50 000 polling agents during the first week of June. These agents are drawn amongst loyal democratic Zimbabweans who are dedicated to defending the Zimbabwean Vote.
