Relatives of the wife of the late businessman Marc Cloud Mapanga who was reportedly gunned down in cold blood have boycotted the funeral. This follows reports that the wife, Bridget Makaza is being detained by the police, although she has not been charged over the shooting. Mapanga was shot three times on Monday night although the maids at the house claimed not to have heard any gunshots. This is despite the fact that neighbours and members of the neighbourhood watch heard the shots.

One of Mapanga’s relatives who spoke to H-Metro said,

This is the second day of the funeral but we have not seen any of the in-laws. I think what is bothering them is that fact that Amai Mapanga is currently in police custody over the death.
