Mnangagwa Says Sinosteel Deal Will Create 24 000 Jobs

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that the deal Zimbabwe signed with Sinosteel Corp will generate approximately 24 000 jobs. Writing on Twitter, the President Said

New Deals To Create 24,000 Jobs!

I am proud to announce that the Government has entered into an agreement with Sinosteel Corp to build a new 400MW power plant in Matabeleland North and three chrome smelting furnaces.

The result of this agreement will see around 4,000 people being directly employed, while 20,000 jobs will be created indirectly.
In 6 months, we have now attracted over US$ 11 billion of foreign direct investment commitments.

I pledge to continue to work hard to bring in the crucial foreign direct investment which will create more and more jobs for the people of Zimbabwe.
