Donors Promised To Inject Funds, FDI If Chamisa Wins Presidency: Biti

Former finance minister Tendai Biti has said that donors from the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom have pledged to pour in funds and foreign direct investment (FDI) once Nelson Chamisa wins the 2018 presidential elections. Speaking at an MDC rally in Marange over the weekend, Biti said,

We were in England recently where we received an overwhelming response from donors who want to inject their funds and bring Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into our country. There are a lot of donors awaiting the MDC Alliance government. We saw some elders in the UK who promised us that if Chamisa wins the forthcoming polls they will bring funding and FDI straight away to Zimbabwe.
