Free Health Care, Free Primary Education After We Win: Khupe

The leader of the breakaway MDC-T party, Thokozani Khupe has promised that once elected as president, her government will provide free healthcare and free primary education for all. Speaking at a rally in Luveve, Khupe said:

Once we are elected into power we will ensure that there is free medication. Government should be responsible to teach people especially at primary education and parents should only start paying school fees at secondary education going upwards. We don’t tolerate violence and as such we have since moved on and we are ready to face whoever is standing in these elections.

Speaking at the same rally, Abednico Bhebhe called for the opposition to penetrate Zanu-PF’s strongholds in rural areas. Said Bhebhe,

Zanu PF is very clever when it comes to managing the elections. We have 57 rural district councils and only there are being controlled by the opposition and that explains why it is not easy to remove Zanu PF from power. We need to go to Zanu PF strongholds and fight there not to waste time in Bulawayo and Matabeleland region.

  1. This is pretty naive to even imagine that Govt will be able to fund free anything considering the state it is in. Where does this woman think she will get the money for all this. Govt needs to stabilise the economy before it can even start dishing out free nuts. Wake up and smell the coffee Zimbabwe. It is outrageous statements like this that take us back rather than moving forward. Even I know that you need income before you can go spending.

  2. I’m concerned about where this breakaway will get the money from to provide free education and medical services when the country is still on its knees and limping

  4. Khupe will get money to fulfill her promises where the fake pastor chamisa will get his to bring bullet trains and to erect spaghetti roads.
