The leader of the opposition National People’s Party (NPP) Joice Mujuru has criticised the government for legalising Mbanje farming saying that decision was irresponsible and would ruin lives. Addressing a women’s meeting in Bulawayo on Wednesday, Mujuru said
By introducing mbanje farming, it simply shows that the government has run out of ideas. Where is the gold money going? Where is the platinum and diamond money going? The government wants to spoil our youngsters.
This mbanje growing business will have serious implications on our families. The government is setting us booby traps that will end up ruining our families.
The government has warned that it is still illegal to smoke mbanje or grow it without a licence.

Thumbs up Mrs Mujuru. This is sign number 1 that the lacoste regime has no ideas. What it is next?
People are going to smoke mbanje whether its legal or not. What makes mbanje different from alcohol and tobacco? Research and experience has proven this FUD to be unwarranted fear mongering with no basis whatsoever. Mbanje is especially effective when used by those in chemo. Recreational smoking of mbanje cannot be linked to a crime rise or deviancy.
We can ask Mujuru where the diamond, platinum and gold money is going since she was an elite member of the same regime before their fallout.
