The police on Tuesday arrested a gang of alleged armed robbers who had 7 children with them. The children whose ages range from four to seven were being kept at a house in Norton and may have been kidnapped but that is yet to be confirmed. The robbers were subdued and apprehended after reportedly exchanging gunfire with the police. None of the children was hurt in the process.

Independent Legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa commented on the matter saying,

I wish to commend Norton Police for apprehending the armed robbers. Details surrounding the children that were found with the robbers are still being investigated but the vigilance of the police is exemplary, thank you and well done for a good job.
