The aspiring candidate also said because of the violence he is now fearing for his family’s safety. Below is the letter by Muparadzi:

REF: LETTER OF STEPPING DOWN AS AN ASPIRING CANDIDATE KWEKWE CENTRAL.

Dear Sir/Madam

I had decided to step down, reasons for stopping down:

  1. My car and gate were destroyed
  2.  What is happening during the primary election, my agent was beaten up at B.D Muonde polling station.
  3. A polling station was put at a Candidate’s premise.

So, I am afraid of my family’s security.

Yours Faithfully

John Mapurazi
