Zanu-PF Primary Elections Delayed By Late Ballot Paper Printing (Pictures)

The Zanu-PF Primary Elections scheduled to take place today (29 April) have been delayed due to the late printing of ballot papers. The party’s members are shown in pictures seated at polling stations as they waited for the ballot papers.

Ballot papers only arrived at midday in some areas. In some areas, such as Chimanimani, ballot papers arrived late afternoon. In Beitbridge East constituency voting only started 5PM. In Zvishavane voting also started in later afternoon. In Kadoma voting started in the evening. In some areas, ballot papers were not delivered even by evening.

According to Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Retired Lieutenant General Engelbert Rugeje the delay may lead to an extension of voting time in some constituencies to tomorrow (Monday 30 April).
